Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a related field.
  • 1–3 years of relevant operations experience in procurement, contracts administration, or project coordination.
  • Advanced proficiency with reporting and procurement systems (PowerBI, PowerAutomate, P6, Dynamics, Ironclad).
  • Familiarity with renewable energy, especially BESS technologies, strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Develop understanding of BESS technologies and supplier offerings through RFP processes.
  • Support negotiation and administration of supply agreements and LTSAs including performance guarantees.
  • Administer pre-construction Purchase Orders to minimize risk, including milestones and tax documentation.
  • Track contract obligations across projects and ensure post-execution compliance.
  • Monitor supplier pricing trends and flag procurement-related risks.
  • Assist in vendor qualification activities and approved vendor list maintenance.
  • Build and maintain procurement systems, logs, and dashboards for visibility and process improvement.
  • Collaborate with Front-End, Development, Engineering, Treasury, and Construction; prepare leadership reports as needed.

Job description

Description

The Procurement Analyst supports technical and commercial procurement activities for battery energy storage system (BESS) and solar photovoltaic (PV) projects, including RFP development, proposal review, supplier negotiations, and long-term supply and service agreements (LTSAs). This position is designed as a growth role, offering the opportunity to develop from a strong procurement operations foundation into increasing technical and commercial responsibility. In addition, this role applies expertise in operations to support core pre-construction Procurement functions, including contract administration, Purchase Order management, vendor documentation workflow, schedule tracking, and procurement systems maintenance. This role is process-oriented with emphasis on managing risk, ensuring compliance, maintaining continuity, and enabling activities of technical staff.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Develop a working understanding of BESS technologies and supplier offerings through facilitation of Request for Proposal (RFP) processes.
  • Support negotiation and administration of supply agreements and BESS LTSAs including performance guarantees.
  • Administer certain pre-construction Purchase Orders to minimize risk including payment milestones, cancellation fee exposure, and tax compliance documentation.
  • Track contract obligations across projects, particularly for varied upstream flow-down requirements and ensure post-execution compliance.
  • Track pre-construction project schedules and flag procurement-related risks.
  • Monitor and track supplier pricing trends
  • Assist in vendor qualification activities including document collection, insurance verification, and approved vendor list maintenance.
  • Build and maintain procurement systems, logs, and dashboards to support team visibility and process improvement. Ensure compatibility and integration with systems in place with other departments.
  • Ensure technical staff meet project milestones including vendor drawing and submittal review workflows and factory QA/QC audits.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional groups including Front-End, Development, Engineering, Treasury, and Construction.
  • Assist in preparing reports, trackers, and summaries for leadership as needed.
Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree (supply chain, business, or related field preferred).
  • Advanced proficiency with PowerBI, PowerAutomate, P6, Microsoft Dynamics, Ironclad, and/or other reporting software preferred.
  • Familiarity with renewable energy, especially Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) technologies, strongly preferred
  • 1-3 years of relevant operations experience, especially in procurement, contracts administration, or project coordination.
  • Experience with process improvement and operational reporting.
  • Ability to interpret contractual terms and track complex multi-project obligations.
Physical Requirements/Work Environment:
