Job summary

The Boeing Company in Renton, WA (and Seattle Delivery Center) seeks a Procurement Agent for the Seats Operations Dock to Delivery Team to manage global supplier coordination and order fulfillment in a fast-paced aerospace environment.

Responsibilities include applying SCM methods, expediting parts via SAP/ERP, data analysis for shortages, and coordinating with on-site supplier support teams. 2nd shift, 100% onsite, travel up to 10%, Bachelor’s preferred.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in Procurement Work, Supply Chain, and/or general Business Operations.
• 3+ years of experience in aerospace or manufacturing industry.
• Experience with SAP or other ERP systems.
• Experience with project/program management.
• Experience working with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

Procurement Agent - Supply Chain Operations Company: The Boeing Company Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is seeking a Procurement Agent - Supply Chain Operations to support our Seats Operations Dock to Delivery Team in both Renton, Washington and Seattle, Washington. This team proactively identifies and mitigates risks associated with transportation, installation, storage and rework of seats. The fast-paced nature of the airplane delivery environment requires rapid decision making, clear communication, and the ability to continuously inquire for solutions without compromising quality and safety standards. The statement of work includes standard Procurement and Supply Chain Management functions, data analysis, forecasting, supply and/or demand troubleshooting, and additional duties as assigned. This person will be a Boeing leader to our suppliers—interfacing both externally and internally with our factories, Engineering, Quality and many other stakeholders, domestically and internationally. This role is primarily 2nd shift, however there may be additional shift requirements to support program objectives.

Position Responsibilities

• Applies Supply Chain Management (SCM) methodologies to ensure coordination in the global supply chain
• Interacts and manages a globally dispersed supply base
• Places purchase orders in SAP/ERP
• Expedites parts’ fulfilment, by leveraging available resources (i.e. production stock, customer spares) to meet key airplane milestones
• Analyses data to make recommendations for potential part shortages mitigation i.e. safety stock
• Coordinate and partner with on-site supplier support teams concerning rework of seats
• Regularly reports out status to Seats and Airplane Program leadership
• Support program initiatives (ie. site-consolidation, storage, product protection, join verification rework and impact to seats, safety stock)
• Tracks and anticipates production milestones to mitigate risks (seat installation, certification, ticketing, customer activities)
• Proactively problem-solves and implements process improvements
• This role is primarily 2nd shift, however there may be additional shift requirements to support program objectives.
• This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to alternate between the Renton location and the Seattle Delivery Center as needed.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience)

• 5+ years of experience in Procurement Work, Supply Chain, and/or general Business Operations
• 3+ years of experience in aerospace or manufacturing industry
• Must be able to travel domestically and internationally as needed (10%)

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience)

• Bachelor's degree or higher
• Experience with multi-tasking (i.e., handling daily work, urgent emerging issues, and phone call requests, etc.)
• Experience with SAP or other ERP systems
• Experience with project/program management
• Experience working with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

Summary Pay Range

$94,350 - $127,650
