Responsibilities

Job Summary

  • Responsible for planning and procurement of materials and services. Review demand accuracy, create purchase orders, evaluate supplier proposals, select sources, and guide less experienced procurement staff. Maintain master data for procurement accounts and serve as the communication link between organizations and suppliers to resolve procurement issues.

Major Responsibilities

  • Procurement Sourcing, Demand Planning, Negotiating, Evaluation, and Analysis
    • Plan and initiate purchase orders and demand changes to support material needs within authorized limits.
    • Coordinate with internal departments to ensure MRP-driven changes support manufacturing and delivery schedules.
    • Monitor supplier performance, resolve issues, and mediate conflicts to improve performance.
    • Respond promptly to urgent requests supporting customer delivery.
    • Ensure supply chain continuity and minimize inventory investment.
    • Align capacity planning with supplier capabilities to meet demand.
    • Monitor orders and demand fluctuations to meet customer commitments.
    • Comply with company policies, legal standards, and protect proprietary data.
    • Maintain procurement package integrity, including flow-down requirements and configuration notes.
    • Perform related duties to ensure efficient operations.
  • Leadership
    • Manage procurement and planning efforts, including demand review, forecasting, cost analysis, sourcing, negotiations, and supplier communication.
Qualifications

Education/Experience

  • Prefer a 4-year degree or equivalent experience in Purchasing, Planning, or Business fields.
  • 10+ years in Purchasing, Planning, or Supply Chain roles.

Knowledge/Skills

  • Leadership in supplier management, performance monitoring, and negotiations.
  • Understanding of planning parameters, lean manufacturing, and JIT principles.
  • Strong analytical, judgment, and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and ERP systems (Oracle, SAP, Bonn).

Other Requirements

  • International and domestic travel up to 20%.

The salary range is $84,000 - $141,000, with potential bonuses and incentives. Final offers depend on experience, skills, and location.
