Job summary

Modular Mission Critical, the manufacturing campus for M.C. Dean’s complex modular product line, is seeking a Senior Purchasing Agent to support growing programs.

You will coordinate with Procurement, Engineering, Sales, and Manufacturing to ensure timely, compliant sourcing for high‑visibility projects. You will lead procurement planning, negotiate with OEMs and fabricators, analyze quotes, and manage post‑award execution across major initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree plus 2 years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training and/or experience.
• Relevant Purchasing experience sourcing, negotiating contracts with Original Equipment Manufacturers, construction /specialty trade subcontractors and fabricators.
• Proven written and verbal communication abilities.
• Proficiency with computer applications, including Microsoft Office Suite and SharePoint and Microsoft Excel.
• Familiarity with accounting principles.

Responsibilities

• Serve as liaison between the Procurement team and internal stakeholders.
• Manage high visibility programs with project teams to assure timely execution of projects.
• Procurement planning during the bidding phase and post-award planning and implementation.
• Understand contracts, BOMs, and develop comprehensive RFPs.
• Negotiate and finalize supplier agreements.
• Travel to project sites and vendors as needed.

Responsibilities

As a Senior Purchasing Agent supporting MC Dean’s growing businesses, your role will include:

• Functioning as a key liaison between the Procurement team and internal stakeholders including MC Dean’s Executive Team, Engineering, Sales, and Manufacturing.
• Working closely with the core Program/Project teams to manage high visibility and high value programs, applying program/project management skills to assure the timely and efficient execution of MC Dean’s portfolio of projects.

1. Procurement planning during the bidding phase
   • Understanding contract specifications and bills of material
   • Sourcing, identifying, and prequalifying vendors Developing comprehensive RFP’s
   • Analyzing multiple quotes (scope leveling) Vendor Matrix ; working with project and engineering team to confirm completeness of scope of service and supply
   • Negotiating and finalizing agreements
   • Developing the Procurement Plan
   • Post award, managingplan implementation
2. Post award procurement planning and implementation on major projects and programs,
   • Transferring bid phase documents and knowledge to the project team
   • Engaging with the project team on procurement planning & implementation
   • Capturing and communicating market intelligence across projects & programs
3. Understanding, evaluating, and incorporating current market conditions into procurement plans, including but not limited to:
   • Pricing trends
   • Lead times and logistical requirements
   • Best value opportunities
   • Alternative products opportunities (Material cost/Labor savings)
   • Evolving contract compliance requirements
4. Reading, understanding, and interpreting contract documents, drawings, specifications, scopes of work and project schedules.
5. Traveling to project sites, manufacturers, and vendor as needed

Pay Range

USD $70,480.00 - USD $88,100.00 /Yr.
