Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a procurement-led professional to optimize supply chain operations across a global supplier network in the aerospace manufacturing sector. The role emphasizes SAP/ERP PO placement, demand planning, and cross-functional collaboration to safeguard milestones and production timelines.

The ideal candidate will bring 5+ years in procurement/SCM, a bachelor’s degree, and 3+ years in aerospace or manufacturing, with 10% travel.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in Procurement, SCM, and/or general Business Operations.
• Bachelor's degree or higher.
• 3+ years of experience in aerospace or manufacturing industry.
• Must be able to travel domestically and internationally as needed (10%)

Responsibilities

• Maps and applies SCM methodologies to coordinate the global supply chain.
• Interacts with and manages a globally dispersed supply base.
• Places purchase orders in SAP/ERP.
• Expedites parts’ fulfilment using available resources to meet key airplane milestones.
• Analyzes data to recommend mitigation for part shortages (e.g., safety stock).
• Coordinates with on-site supplier teams for rework of seats.
• Reports status to Seats and Airplane Program leadership.
• Supports program initiatives such as site consolidation, storage, and production protection.
• Tracks production milestones to mitigate risks (seat installation, certification, ticketing, customer activities).
• Proactively solves problems and implements process improvements.

Responsibilities

• Applies Supply Chain Management (SCM) methodologies to ensure coordination in the global supply chain
• Interacts and manages a globally dispersed supply base
• Places purchase orders in SAP/ERP
• Expedites parts’ fulfilment, by leveraging available resources (i.e. production stock, customer spares) to meet key airplane milestones
• Analyses data to make recommendations for potential part shortages mitigation i.e. safety stock
• Coordinate and partner with on-site supplier support teams concerning rework of seats
• Regularly reports out status to Seats and Airplane Program leadership
• Support program initiatives (ie. site-consolidation, storage, product protection, join verification rework and impact to seats, safety stock)
• Tracks and anticipates production milestones to mitigate risks (seat installation, certification, ticketing, customer activities)
• Proactively problem‑solves and implements process improvements

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in Procurement Work, Supply Chain, and/or general Business Operations
• Experience working with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
• Bachelor's degree or higher
• 3+ years of experience in aerospace or manufacturing industry
• Experience with multi‑tasking (i.e., handling daily work, urgent emerging issues, and phone call requests, etc.)
• Experience with project/program management
• Must be able to travel domestically and internationally as needed (10%)
