Job summary

Habitat for Humanity International is seeking a Procurement and Accounting Specialist/Coordinator to support purchasing, financial operations, and daily administrative needs. The role manages bid purchasing, contracting, and compliance across construction programs while handling lower-level accounting tasks.

The position requires overseeing contracts, RFQs, and vendor registrations, plus ensuring adherence to state and federal regulations.

Qualifications

Nonprofit and procurement experience preferred.
Background in residential development.
Computer literacy - Excel, Word, Adobe.
Positive personality; enjoy working with a wide variety of people.

Responsibilities

Drafts, reviews, and maintains contracts and RFPs; determines method of purchase.
Monitors contracts and seeks vendors for beneficial partnerships.
Builds relationships with vendors and subcontractors for profitable negotiations.
Manages centralized purchasing to meet bidding and compliance requirements (e.g., postings, responses, ROC, E-Verify).
Oversees regulatory reporting and compliance with laws and best practices for procurement and accounting functions.
Posts solicitations, RFQs, addendums, contracts, and modifications to ensure legal conformity.
Oversees bid openings and postings of results.
Manages RFQ process to maintain contractor shortlist.
Maintains vendor registry with AP; tracks subcontracts, insurance, licenses.
