Job summary

Rocky Brands, Inc. in Sparks, NV is seeking a Value Added Services Processor to ensure packages moving through the VAS lane are processed and handed off to the Shipping Department in a timely manner.

The role includes printing and applying labels, verifying weights, correcting data, and coordinating with Routers and Shippers to prepare goods for shipment while adhering to SOPs and OSHA safety standards. This position requires a high school diploma, attention to detail, basic Excel/Outlook

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED; 3 months or more related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Beginner level of experience in Microsoft Office, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Detail oriented with strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to multi-task and work with a sense of urgency.
  • Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operation instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to perform basic arithmetic in all units of measure.
  • Physical ability to stand/walk for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

  • Complete VAS tasks and correct errors causing cartons to drop to the VAS lane.
  • Print and apply labels to products and/or cartons.
  • Check items for accuracy and weight within tolerance; divert out-of-tolerance packages to VAS lane.
  • Identify and correct data for parcels that do not manifest and complete manifest process.
  • Correct unreadable labels by the scanner and prepare items to ship.
  • Assist Routers and Shippers to ensure items are ready for shipment.
  • Support quality audits and follow SOPs.
  • Maintain safety standards per OSHA and company policies.

Summary

The Value Added Services Processor ensures packages that drop down the VAS lane are processed and handed off to the Shipping Department in a timely manner.

Hourly Rate of Pay:

$22.5/hr

Shift Hours:

9:30 AM - 6:00 PM

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

To perform the job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. Duties and responsibilities include the following, other duties may be assigned:

  • Responsible for completion of VAS or correcting the error causing the cartons to drop down the VAS lane.
  • Print and apply different labels to product and/or cartons to meet customer requirements.
  • Check item for accuracy and count for an out of weight tolerance - any package the weights +/- four (4) lbs. is diverted to the VAS lane.
  • Identify and correct the data for parcel packages that do not manifest and complete the manifest process.
  • Responsible for correcting labels that cannot be read by the scanner.
  • Work with Routers and Shippers to ensure items are prepared to ship.
  • Assist with quality audits.
  • Follow all standard operating procedures.
  • Maintain Company and OSHA safety standards.
Qualifications

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); three (3) months or more related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Beginner level of experience in Microsoft Office, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Detail orientated and strong organization skills.
  • Ability to multi-task, and work with a sense of urgency.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operation instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to use hands to finger, handle, feel; reach with both hands and arms; talk and hear.
  • Ability for prolonged standing, walking, stooping, kneeling, crouching, climbing, and balancing.
  • Lifting to a maximum of fifty pounds (50 lbs.), with frequent lifting and carrying of up to forty-five pounds (45 lbs.).
  • Good eye/hand coordination.
