Altium Packaging is hiring a Machine Operator for its Sparta, Tennessee facility. The role focuses on operating molding machinery, performing adjustments, inspecting products, and coordinating with Quality Control to meet quality standards. The position requires 1+ year of machine operating experience and a high school degree or equivalent.

• Make machine adjustments as needed with controls and hand tools.
• Dislodge jams in machinery as needed.
• Inspect products and boxing with a good eye for defects.
• Monitor machine controls to ensure proper process.
• Work with Quality Control to meet quality standards.
• Complete required quality system paperwork.
• Conduct periodic machine and product checks.
• Overtime may be required due to business needs.

Responsibilities

• Handle and operate any machinery, tools or equipment used safely while performing job duties.
• Make machine adjustments as needed with the assistance of buttons, controls, and hand tools.
• Dislodge jams in machinery as needed
• Inspect of products and boxing, must have a good eye for defects
• Monitor machine controls to ensure proper process
• Work cohesively with Quality Control to ensure quality standards are being met
• Complete required paperwork for departments quality system
• Conduct periodic machine and product checks.
• Reasonable mandatory overtime may be required due to business needs.

Requirements

• 1+ years of machine operating experience
• Preferred:
• High school degree or equivalent
• Plastic molding experience
