GOODWILL INDUSTRIES OF CENTRAL FLORIDA in Orlando is seeking a Donation Processor to handle incoming donations, sort items, and price goods in a fast-paced retail environment.

You will operate processing machinery, maintain a clean workspace, and follow safety rules per CPSC. Regularly lift up to 40 pounds and work standing for long periods.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of retail and/or stock handling.
• Ability to listen and follow directions.
• Previous retail and/or stock handling experience is preferred.
• Math Ability: basic operations with money, weight, volume and distance.

SUMMARYUnder the direction of the Operations Manager, process all incoming donations. Major duties include sorting donations, pricing items, operating machinery, and maintaining the processing area in a clean and orderly fashion.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/DUTIESSort donations as they arrive into proper carts or bins and make proper determination as to the quality of donations; sort and box identified recyclable items.Price goods in special circumstances.Operate designated machinery in processing area.Keep production area clean and safe and other store areas as directed.Comply with the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) and procedures for Public Protection.Maintain well groomed appearance and appropriate dress code including name badge.ADDITIONAL FUNCTIONS/DUTIESPerform other duties as assigned by the Operations Manager.QUALIFICATIONS/COMPETENCIESThe list below is representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability utilized while performing this job.Ability to adhere to the organization’s Core Principles.Knowledge of donations as related to quality and classification.Knowledge of retail and/or stock handling.Ability to listen and follow directions.Education and/or Experience:Previous retail and/or stock handling experience is preferred.Math Ability:Level 1: Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's. Ability to print and speak simple sentences.Reasoning Ability:Level 2: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
