Melaleuca: The Wellness Company in Knoxville, TN, is seeking a skilled manufacturing associate focused on weighing, bulk processing, and inventory using the JDE system. You will follow SOPs, maintain accurate logs, and work safely in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires the ability to lift 80 lbs, operate forklift per training, and collaborate with multiple departments to ensure material quality and timely production.

Qualifications

• Ability to certify as Melaleuca forklift operator.

• Ability to move 400-600 lb drums with appropriate equipment.
• Knowledge of GMPs and FDA regulations concerning cosmetic and drug products.

Responsabilités

• Weighs ingredients to work orders to +/- 1% accuracy
• Processes bulks per SOPs and written procedures
• Operates a forklift with safety procedures at all times
• Uses JDE inventory tracking system and handheld scanners
• Fills out work orders and logs per SOPs and GMPs
• Identifies and addresses issues related to raw materials and processing bulk
• Takes ownership of batch weighing, processing and transferring to ensure quality
• Transfers bulk to designated holding vessels
• Participates in safety trainings and maintains a safe work environment
• Follows safety procedures including PPE and hazard identification
• Communicates effectively with department and other supporting departments
• Understands and follows SOPs and formulation procedures
• Maintains a neat, clean and orderly work area
• Performs disposals of expired ingredients and other materials per regulations
• Works as instructed by Head Formulator/Lead Formulator
• Performs duties of other positions as needed or assigned by supervisor

Duties And Responsibilities:

• Weighs ingredients to work orders to +/- 1% accuracy


• Processes bulks in accordance with SOPs and written procedures

• Uses JDE inventory tracking system and handheld scanners to look up, issues, transfers and adjust inventory


• Fills out work orders and all logs in accordance with SOPs, GMPs and other procedures.


• Identifies and addresses issues related to raw materials and processing bulk.


• Takes ownership of batch weighing, processing and transferring to ensure quality is maintained.


• Transfers bulk to designated holding vessels.


• Actively participates in all safety trainings and is involved in maintaining a safe work environment


• Follows all safety procedures, including wearing PPE, identifying and removing potential hazards and having a proactive safety attitude.


• Communicates effectively and professionally with employees within the department as well as other supporting departments.


• Understands and follows all applicable SOPs and other formulation procedures.


• Maintains a neat, clean and orderly work area.

Additional:

• Performs disposals of expired ingredients, returned bulk and other materials in accordance with all Federal, State and Local regulations.


• Works as instructed by Head Formulator/Lead Formulator.


• Performs duties of other positions in the work area as needed or other tasks as assigned by supervisor or coordinator

• Ability to work in tight spaces including under and around holding tanks and processors.


• Ability to move 400-600 lb. drums utilizing appropriate equipment.


• Knowledge of current GMP’s and FDA Regulations concerning cosmetic and drug products.


• Ability to perform the essential duties and responsibilities with efficiency and accuracy.

Additional:

• One (1) or more years' experience in a manufacturing environment or equivalent is preferred.


• Chemistry education or experience is preferred.


• Knowledge of applicable chemicals, their appearance and how to safely handle and blend them.


• Ability to work overtime and weekends as needed.


• 2 years prior forklift experience or equivalent is preferred.
