Job summary

Goodwill Industries of San Diego County is seeking a Processing Worker II to sort, clean, price and stock donated goods while assisting on the sales floor. You will accept donations and provide strong customer service to donors and shoppers in a busy store environment.

This role supports operations by opening/closing donation areas, helping load/unload trucks, guiding production and donation procedures, and maintaining accurate paperwork and logs throughout shifts.

Qualifications

• 6 months of entry-level supervisory experience or 6 months retail/used goods experience.
• Knowledge of quality clothing and merchandise brands preferred.
• Ability to assist in production/donation procedures.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, price and tally donations for the sales floor.
• Push racks and carts to retail floor and assist stocking the floor.
• Open/close donations area; safeguard donations and keep areas clean and organized.
• Provide excellent customer service to donors and customers.
• Assist truck helpers and drivers to load/unload trucks.
• Guide ambassadors in production/donation procedures.
• Complete Daily Assignment log, breaks and meals per management.
• Assist in collecting all production/donation paperwork.
• Price products for customers/staff when necessary.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

POSITION SUMMARY

Sorts, cleans, prices and stocks donated goods in a Goodwill store. Accepts donations and provides assistance on sales floor as needed. Provides excellent customer service to donors and customers.

Essential Functions Statement(s)

• Inspect, clean price and tally donations produced for sales floor.
• Pushes racks and carts to retail floor and assists in stocking the floor and pulling merchandise.
• Opens and closes donations area. Accepts and safeguards donations and keeps processing and donation areas in a clean, safe and organized manner.
• Provides excellent customer service to donors and customers.
• Assists truck helpers and drivers to load/unload trucks.
• Guides ambassadors in all production/donation procedures.
• Completes Daily Assignment log, breaks and meals per management to ensure adequate coverage.
• Assists in collecting all production/donation paperwork throughout the day.
• Prices product for customers/staff when necessary.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Experience for Processing Worker II

Minimum of 6 months of entry level supervisory experience or Minimum of 6 months relevant experience (retail/ used goods) and completion and demonstration of competencies of leader step 1 career pathway.
