Job summary

Goodwill Industries of San Diego County is seeking a Processing Worker I to sort, inspect, price and stock donated goods, while assisting on the sales floor as needed. You will open/close the donations area, safeguard donations, and ensure a clean, safe processing space and showroom.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Minimum of 6 months of recent processing experience or successful graduation from a GISD employment program.
• Knowledge of quality clothing and merchandise brand names is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Sort, Inspect, clean, price and tally donations produced for sales floor.
• Pushes racks and carts to retail floor and assists in stocking the floor and pulling merchandise.
• Opens and closes donations area. Accepts and safeguards donations and keeps processing and donation areas in a clean, safe and organized manner.
• Provides excellent customer service to donors and customers.
• Assists truck helpers and drivers to load/unload trucks.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

POSITION SUMMARY

Sorts, cleans, prices and stocks donated goods in a Goodwill store. Accepts donations and provides assistance on sales floor as needed. Provides excellent customer service to donors and customers.

SKILLS & ABILITIES

Education

High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) preferred. Processor experience Preferred
