Job summary

Lamb Weston Holdings, Inc. is seeking a Processing Technician for the graveyard shift in Hermiston, OR. The role covers diverse L1 processing tasks, with a rotating weekly schedule and a focus on safety, quality, and teamwork to support CBN goals.

Responsibilities include quality checks, operation of L1 functions from Evenflows to Fryer, and collaboration with leads. Strong English communication, basic PC skills, and safety training are required.

Qualifications

  • Must be able to read, understand, and follow plant rules and safety policies.
  • Lock-out/Tag-out qualified; training provided if needed.
  • Strong reading/comprehension and ability to follow instructions in English.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.

Responsibilities

  • Participates in Lamb Weston Safety and GMP programs as part of daily duties.
  • Performs process quality checks per procedure and on request from leads and team leads.
  • Operates the Line 1 processing area from Evenflows through Fryer with team.
  • Supports AMD activities and collaborates with Line Structure Team as scheduled.

This safety focused, team oriented, and target driven position provides a solid career path for future leaders of Lamb Weston.Job DescriptionJob Responsibilities:Actively participates in Lamb Weston Safety and Good Manufacturing Practice programs.Conducts process quality checks per procedure and by request of Production Lead, Team Leader Production, Team Leader Quality, Team Leader Area Production, and Line Structure Team.Performs all Daily Management System standards per schedule to include CILs, FSILs, CLs, and Defect Handling.Operates cohesively with additional Line 1 Process Technician team members in management of the Line 1 Process area; Including but not limited to all job functions from the L1 Evenflows through the L1 Fryer.Engages is scheduled AMD activities.Basic & Preferred QualificationsBasic and Preferred Qualifications:Trained and qualified in L1 Processing, ADR, and Fryer positions.Team member must be Lock-out/Tag-out qualified. If qualification is needed training will be provided.Read, understand, and adhere to all plant rules and safety policies as specified in the Lamb Weston Employee Handbook.Practice proper body mechanics and safe lifting techniques.Education/ Certifications:High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred.Skills and Experience:Must be able to communicate, comprehend, and follow instructions in English (both written and oral).1-2 years of experience in Food Manufacturing, or related field, preferred.Functions well in team environment.Demonstrates capable troubleshooting skills.Capable of thinking critically.Basic understanding/ Proficiency in PC skills; Windows, Word, and Excel.Physical Environment/Demands:Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and to stand, walk, bend, stoop, twist and turn frequently.Exposed to a noisy environment that varies from hot to cold in temperature.Ability to do repetitious arm, wrist and hand movements required for job actions and procedures.Must be able to work with hands and arms overhead, and to work in or under the equipment.Ability to operate work related equipment.Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.Employee must be able to perform the essential functions of the position satisfactorily.
