Compensation
Base Pay: $32.75 per hour, plus shift differential.
Essential Responsibilities
- Transfer semi‑finished product from the main vessel to tote run tank.
- Perform manual additions 80%–100% of the workday.
- Work daily with corrosives, acids, toxic materials, oxidizers, and high‑temperature unfinished products.
- Perform washouts, purges, and all required paperwork, including batch changes, to maintain production lines.
- Report to the Processing Supervisor to receive daily assignments.
- Stage batches using a fork truck.
- Add dry and liquid raw materials into blenders.
- Properly label tanks, totes, samples, and related materials.
- Run multiple pieces of equipment simultaneously (e.g., charging raw materials to the main vessel while preparing pre‑mixes).
- Follow batch sheet instructions and sign off on each step of the process (FDA required).
- Obtain samples from each batch and submit them to the Quality Department for approval.
- Manage bulk liquid and dry inventory using the WMS system.
- Perform OSHA‑required forklift safety inspections and complete checklists.
- Wear appropriate PPE and follow all safety procedures.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Adhere to departmental SOPs, GMPs, and JSAs.
- Participate in all job‑related safety training and comply with all safety policies and procedures.
- Receive general orientation, job‑specific training, and refresher training related to hazardous chemicals handled.
- Comply with all NJ laws and company policies when sampling, unloading, pre‑weighing, transferring, and/or handling hazardous chemicals.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Dental Functions
- Operate an automated control process using an HMI touchscreen to process semi‑finished product.
- Connect dedicated hoses to transfer raw materials from tankers to pre‑fill batch hoppers.
- Manually introduce raw materials into the main vessel through a vacuum system.
- Batch and supply production lines with product via storage or totes.
- Work with oxidizers and toxic raw materials.
- Maintain the LPD skid to support daily packaging line requirements.
Education & Experience
- High School Diploma or equivalent (GED).
- Chemical aptitude with experience in chemical mixing and batching processes.
- Minimum 1 year of experience as a Compounder/Batch Maker in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment (FDA environment preferred).
- Experience with WMS systems is a plus.
- Must pass a respiratory fit test to wear a respirator.
