Job summary

America's Thrift Stores in Knoxville, TN is seeking a part-time Processing Team Member. You will sort donated items, identify great finds, and help prepare merchandise for the sales floor while supporting recycling efforts to reduce waste. You will work with a diverse team and contribute to our mission of giving back to the community.

• Attention to detail is essential for sorting donated items and identifying treasures.
• You should be neat and organized to keep work areas orderly.
• Being a team player helps when working with diverse coworkers.
• You are eager to get a lot done each day and contribute to the processing team.
• Candidates must be at least 18 years old to join the processing team.

Responsibilities

• Sort donated items and identify great finds.
• Identify recyclable items and keep waste out of the landfill.
• Prepare great finds to be placed on the sales floor.
• Load and unload carts to move merchandise safely and efficiently.

What Does a Processing Team Member Do Anyway?

• Sort donated items and identify great finds
• Help identify recyclable items. Even if we can't sell it, we keep it out of the landfill
• Get those great finds sales floor ready
• Load and unload carts to get merchandise out safely and efficiently

Whether we are hanging the perfect jeans (thrifting one pairof jeans saves the world 1,800 gallons of water ya know!) or separating out recyclable materials, we combine our passion for customers and community service.
