Job summary

Norfolk-Iron- is seeking a manufacturing associate to set up and operate processing equipment in a warehouse environment. You will load and position materials, follow work orders and customer specifications, and inspect products for quality compliance.

The role requires basic measuring skills, the ability to read English instructions, and a strong safety mindset. Training for forklifts and cranes is provided, and a team-focused, detail-oriented candidate will thrive here.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Manufacturing, machine-operation, or warehouse experience preferred; willing to train the right candidate.
  • Ability to read and understand work orders, instructions, and safety procedures.
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions in English.
  • Ability to accurately use a tape measure and other measuring tools or willingness to learn.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality and safety.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

  • Set up and operate assigned processing equipment.
  • Load, unload, position, and adjust materials.
  • Follow work orders and customer specifications.
  • Inspect materials to ensure quality standards are met.
  • Accurately use tape measures and other measuring tools.
  • Package, palletize, and band finished materials.
  • Operate forklifts and overhead cranes after completing training.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area.
  • Follow safety procedures and wear required PPE.
  • Immediately report accidents, incidents, and unsafe conditions.
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT

  • Prolonged standing and walking.
  • Frequent bending, reaching, twisting, and crouching.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to safely enter and exit forklifts.
  • Ability to work near moving machinery and in areas with continuous loud noise.
