Job summary

Chobani is seeking a Processing Operator to prepare and mix ingredients for finished batches used in bottling, canning, and premix/post-mix operations. The role supports a 12-hour night shift on a 2-2-3 rotation, with production planning per shift and adherence to safety and quality standards.

You will operate relevant machinery, weigh ingredients to SKU specifications, follow formulas, document processes, and collaborate with teams to maintain output while upholding GMPs and safety policies.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED preferred; 1–2 years related experience.
  • Must have mechanical aptitude and basic math abilities.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain Pallet Jack Certification.
  • Experience in food and beverage industry preferred.
  • Able to work in a wet environment and with cleaning chemicals.
  • Willing to work flexible hours including overtime.
  • Team-oriented with strong verbal and written communication.
  • Must follow GMPs and pass pre-employment screens.

Responsibilities

  • Safely operate and startup/shutdown machinery per SOPs.
  • Accurately weigh ingredients according to SKU specs.
  • Stage materials and follow formulas for mixing batches.
  • Run batches and perform quality checks including laboratory tests.
  • Monitor productivity to maintain quality and output.
  • Document ingredients and sanitation records.
  • Communicate production status to downstream teams.
  • Troubleshoot minor equipment issues and escalate as needed.
  • Stock packaging materials using pallet jack.

JOB OVERVIEW:

The Processing Operator is responsible for the preparing and mixing of appropriate ingredients required to produce finished batches from calculation for bottling, canning, and premix/post-mix operations based upon number of cases scheduled for production each shift.

JOB SCHEDULE: D Crew; 2-2-3, 12-hour rotation; 5pm-530am

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Ensure the safety and operation of all relevant machinery according to standardized operating procedures (SOPs).
  • Responsible for startup and shutdown of all relevant machinery.
  • Responsible for accurately weighing ingredients according to SKU specifications
  • Aid in development and improvement of standardized work documentation
  • Stage material and read and follow formulas for mixing batches
  • Run material per spec sheet and operating instructions and complete required quality checks, including laboratory tests
  • Monitor productivity to established quality and production levels are maintained
  • Complete ingredient documentation
  • Aid in sanitation operations and completing required sanitation documentation
  • Clearly communicate to neighboring departments on current and upcoming production status so downstream operators can effectively maintain production output levels.
  • Troubleshooting minor issues on all relevant machinery and escalates immediately to management or maintenance as needed to minimize downtime.
  • Uses a pallet jack to stock machine with required packaging materials supplied by material handler.
  • Other duties as assigned.

JOB REQUIREMENTS
  • High School Diploma or GED preferred. 1 to 2 years of related experience and/or training.
  • Must have mechanical aptitude and demonstrate abilities. Able to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a valid Pallet Jack Certification
  • Experience within the food and beverage industry is preferred.
  • Must be able to work in a wet environment. Some exposure to cleaning chemicals.
  • Must be willing to work flexible hours including overtime.
  • Be able to effectively work in a team environment.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment.
  • Must be able to abide by all required Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).
  • Must be able to pass all pre-employment screens (including drug, background).

The salary range for this full-time position is $25.50 - [[cust_onetenpermidpay]], + bonus + equity + benefits. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
