Job summary

Sunnyside* is seeking a trimming supervisor to oversee daily hand trim and machine trim operations, ensuring consistent quality and throughput in a cannabis production environment. You will lead shift teams, enforce SOPs, maintain accurate batch records, and coordinate with maintenance and harvest schedules to optimize productivity and safety across multiple shifts.

Strong attention to detail, coaching of leads, and communicating performance metrics will be essential to meet quality standards

  • Must be able to drive a car, van, truck, and travel via plane or train; lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Environment will consist of office, indoor grow production, warehouse or distribution environment, as well as out-door elements on a frequent basis.
  • Must be able to stand, walk, sit; use hands or finger to, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; talk and hear

Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily hand trim and machine trim operations to ensure consistent quality and throughput.
  • Adhere to quality standards for trim appearance, structure, and finish across all methods.
  • Ensure machine settings, throughput, and maintenance schedules align with product quality requirements.
  • Coordinate trim operations with harvest, drying, curing, and packaging schedules.
  • Manage trimming operations across multiple shifts.
  • Assign and coordinate leads or supervisors per shift to ensure continuity and accountability.
  • Ensure consistent training, expectations, and performance standards across all shifts.
  • Provide regular shift‑to‑shift communication and handoff documentation.
  • Set clear productivity, quality, and attendance expectations.
  • Address performance issues promptly and professionally.
  • Foster a respectful, safe, and high‑accountability work environment.
  • Ensure all trimming activities comply with company SOPs and state regulations.
  • Maintain accurate batch tracking, chain‑of‑custody records, and production documentation.
  • Conduct regular quality checks and address deviations in real time.
  • Track and report key metrics.
  • Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, ergonomics, and quality across trim methods.
  • Partner with maintenance to support trimming equipment care and uptime.
  • Oversee State required batch testing with schedule adherence.
  • Recommend equipment, process, or layout improvements.

CORE JOB DUTIES
