Job summary

Triumvirate Environmental is seeking an onsite Processing Machine Operator for our Pennsylvania recycling operation. The role reports to Production Supervisor and offers a base pay of $19.00/hour with potential to earn an additional $2.00/hour within the first year through a tier advancement program.

Schedule is Monday–Friday, 6:00am–2:30pm, with safety-sensitive duties and extensive training. The operator will run shredders and grinders, assist with compounding equipment, and help sort plastics

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to operate large precision shop machinery.
• Strong aptitude in problem solving and process improvement.
• Demonstrate the ability to articulate problems and solutions.
• Demonstrate urgency and initiative with follow-through and professionalism.
• Self-motivated and capable of managing stressful situations.
• Commitment to safety and teamwork.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds repetitively.
• Work overtime as needed.

Responsibilities

• Identify and label different types of material properly.
• Use basic and power hand tools to remove unwanted metal and plastic from recycled plastics.
• Assist in sorting plastics for extrusion process.
• Adjust temperatures, screw speed and ram settings on compounder machines when material not melting properly.
• Regularly clean work area and tools.
• Work efficiently and productively.
• Develop understanding of OSHA regulations and Health and Safety Practices.
• Stand for 8+ hours per day and operate a forklift as required.
• Build cooperative relationships with coworkers.
