Vital Farms is seeking a Processing Crew Lead in Springfield, MO to manage 12-hour shifts on a fast-paced production line. You will organize workflow, set objectives, and lead operators while ensuring safety and quality standards are met.

The role emphasizes teamwork and continuous improvement under tight deadlines. You will collaborate with shift supervisors and managers to meet production goals, coach staff, and maintain equipment and process ownership.

Competenze

• Must be able to speak, read and write in English for safety and food quality reasons.
• 1 year of work experience in a production and/or manufacturing environment.
• Able to frequently lift and/or move up to 60 lbs.
• Commitment to following all personal safety requirements rigorously.
• Be flexible and execute other duties and production tasks as required.
• Basic math skills (adding, subtracting, basic division).
• Ability to work without direct supervision.
• Able to be certified to operate a forklift or pallet jack.
• Perform quality/procedural checks and operate equipment.
• Proven leadership/supervisory experience.
• Strong people skills and ability to interact with all levels of staff and management, on-site and remote.

This role at Egg Central Station (ECS) is critical in bridging the gap from local family farms to grocery stores for our consumers. You'll be on your feet during each twelve-hour shift, moving, lifting, loading and working with air-conditioned and sunlight-filled warehouse. 2-2-3 schedule: 2-week cycle

• Week 1: 2 days on / 2 days off / 3 days on


• Week 2: 2 days off / 2 days on / 3 days off

Shifts: 12-hour shifts. Night Crew - 6pm to 6am

Pay Rate

• Day Crew- $22.25 per hour


• Night Crew - $22.25 per hour (+ $3.00 Shift Differential)

What You'll Do

• Organize workflow by assigning responsibilities and preparing schedule


• Set daily / weekly / monthly objectives and communicate to employees


• Lead and develop operators, creating equipment and system ownership


• Work directly with shift supervisors and managers to regulate production and meet goals


• Evaluate job performance of operators


• Ensure all personnel safety and food safety procedures are followed rigorously


• Drive continuous improvement of waste elimination


• Anticipate problems and make quick decisions under time pressure


• Must be able to perform all jobs on the lines and be able to coach others in work
