Job summary

Capstone Copper is seeking a Processing Laborer at the Pinto Valley mine near Miami, AZ. You will support processing operations with general labor tasks in a plant and travel area, learning plant tasks on a 7-on 7-off rotation.

Qualifications

• Entry-level position - no previous mining work experience is required.
• Ability to safely perform assigned job tasks.
• Willingness to go to a shift crew and start learning the plant once on a shift rotation.
• Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time, including stairs and uneven surfaces.
• Ability to work in hot and cold environments with high humidity.
• Ability to kneel, crawl, stoop, and squat, occasionally in confined spaces.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 60 lbs. for 100 ft.
• Ability to seldom lift 100 lbs. from ankle to waist.
• English reading/writing/comprehension for job tasks and safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate commitment to safety and Capstone’s Values in Action.
• Perform general labor duties around processing plant equipment and travel areas.
• Conduct vehicle inspections and basic upkeep on light vehicles and equipment.
• Assist with cleaning and housekeeping tasks.
• Assist with training on 7X7 shift rotation and initial area tasks.
• Contribute to safety meetings and operational efficiency.
• Take on additional tasks as assigned.
