Job summary

ImpactLife is seeking Lab Assistants for our Processing Laboratory to prepare blood donor samples for testing and to perform quality control testing. You will support Bench Techs, help ensure the correct products reach patients, and prepare components, release and label products for shipping.

This full-time 2nd shift position runs Sundays 8:00 a.m.–4:30 p.m. and Mondays–Thursdays 2:00 p.m.–10:30 p.m., with rotating holidays.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required; medical field experience preferred.
• Associate's Degree or Medical Assistant Degree preferred.
• Must be able to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 pounds.
• Pre-employment background check and drug screen required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare blood donor samples for testing and perform quality control testing.
• Support Bench Techs and assist with releasing, labeling, and shipping products.

Job description

Our Processing Laboratory Lab Assistants prepare blood donor samples for testing, perform quality control testing and provide support to the Bench Techs to help ensure the right product gets to the right patient. In addition, our Lab Assistants prepare components, release and label products, and prepare products for shipping.

This is a Full Time position working 2nd shift, every Sunday 8:00 a.m.-4:30 p.m. and Monday-Thursday 2:00 p.m.-10:30 p.m., with rotating holidays. This position qualifies for shift premiums when applicable.
