Job summary

Brown-Forman Louisville is seeking a Processing Operations Specialist to provide essential operational support for bulk liquid receipt, inventory accuracy, SAP integrity, and regulatory compliance, ensuring smooth production of Brown-Forman Louisville products.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business or related field with 1 year beverage import/export logistics experience, OR Associate degree with 3 years in beverage import/export logistics.
• Strong SAP experience and knowledge of SAP integrity.
• Excellent time management and organizational skills.
• Ability to work periodic overtime and support a 24-hour operation.
• TTB regulations experience and HazMat/IATA/IMDG certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage receipts of incoming bulk spirits, flavors, and processing materials, including SAP entry and documentation.
• Maintain accurate inventory of all bulk liquids, flavors, and dry ingredients used in production.
• Review and audit daily Process Orders to ensure SAP inventory accuracy for processing tanks.
• Track whiskey and liquid movements from receipt through processing to ensure full product traceability.
• Maintain and audit all SOPs; report findings and nonconformances to Processing Manager.
• Support production planning by coordinating with Scheduling, Warehousing, and department leads.
• Assist with quarterly inventory counts for regulatory reporting and monthly gauging of tanks.

Meaningful Work From Day One:

The Processing Operations Specialist provides essential operational support to the BFL Processing Manager, Processing Supervisor, and Quality and Regulatory functions. This role ensures accurate documentation, SAP integrity, inventory control, and the smooth flow of materials required for the production of Brown-Forman Louisville products. The position supports production planning, resource allocation, and the day-to-day needs of processing employees while maintaining compliance with internal standards and regulatory requirements.

What You Can Expect:

Operational & Production Support

• Manage receipts of incoming bulk spirits, flavors, and processing materials, including SAP entry and documentation.
• Maintain accurate inventory of all bulk liquids, flavors, and dry ingredients used in BFL production.
• Review and audit daily Process Orders to ensure SAP inventory accuracy for all BFL Processing tanks.
• Track whiskey and liquid movements from receipt through processing to ensure full product traceability for food safety and regulatory compliance.
• Maintain and audit all BFL Processing SOPs on a defined schedule; report findings and nonconformances to the Processing Manager.
• Support production planning by coordinating with Scheduling, Warehousing, and department leads to align weekly production and bottling needs.
• Assist with quarterly inventory counts for TTB reporting and monthly volumetric gauging of tanks.

Logistics & Material Movement

• Schedule delivery of raw materials, flavors, and other ingredients required for BFL operations.
• Create purchase orders for incoming spirits and processing materials.
• Manage shipments of bulk whiskey and spirits for domestic and export tankers.
• Maintain required certifications for hazardous material shipments (DOT HazMat, IMDG, IATA) when applicable.
• Prepare shipping and documentation for recycled or waste liquid streams.

Employee & Administrative Support

• Assist with scheduling coverage for vacations, absences, and operational needs.
• Maintain production forms, logs, and documentation used by hourly employees.
• Support timekeeping and administrative tasks for processing personnel as needed.
• Provide backfill support for Processing Supervisor or Manager during absences.

What You Bring to the Table:

• Education: Bachelor's degree in business or related field with 1 year of experience in beverage alcohol import/export logistics OR an Associate's Degree in Business or related field with 3 years of experience in beverage alcohol import/export logistics.
• Strong operating knowledge of SAP.
• Excellent time management and organizational skills.
• High attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build effective working relationships.
• Ability to work periodic overtime and support a 24-hour operation.

What Makes You Unique:

• Current certifications to ship hazardous materials (DOT HazMat, IMDG, IATA).
