Job summary

Vital Farms is seeking a Processing Associate for our Egg Central Station facility. You will wash, sort, and pack pasture-raised eggs from family farms, moving and loading in a 12‑hour shift within a clean, air‑conditioned production environment. Shifts follow a 2-2-3 schedule with Day Crew (6am–6pm) or Night Crew (6pm–6am).

Pay is $20.25 per hour, plus a $3.00 night-shift differential. You’ll follow safety and quality procedures, operate equipment, and contribute to a fast‑paced team focused on

Qualifications

• 1 year of work experience in an industrial or physically active operations environment.
• Must be able to speak, read and write in English for safety and food quality.
• Demonstrated experience following safety procedures and quality standards.
• Ability to perform repetitive physical tasks and lift up to 60 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Operate machines and robots to load, sort, and pack pasture-raised eggs.
• Maintain sanitary conditions for safe production.
• Follow procedures to ensure eggs meet quality standards.
• Inspect supplies and equipment to ensure readiness for use.
• Move supplies and products within the warehouse using powered jacks.
• Perform other duties as needed and adapt to changing tasks.

As a Processing Associate at Vital Farms, you will...

You will work within our state‑of‑the-art manufacturing and production facility to wash, sort, and pack pasture‑raised eggs from our family farms. This role at Egg Central Station (ECS) is critical in moving product safely and efficiently from local family farms to grocery stores. You’ll be on your feet throughout each 12‑hour shift, moving, lifting, loading, operating equipment, and working in an air‑conditioned, sunlight‑filled production and warehouse environment.

2-2-3 schedule:

• Week 1: 2 days on / 2 days off / 3 days on
• Week 2: 2 days off / 2 days on / 3 days off

Shifts:

• Day Crew – 6am to 6pm
• Night Crew - 6pm to 6am

Pay Rate

• Day Crew- $20.25 per hour
• Night Crew - $20.25 per hour (+ $3.00 Shift Differential)

What You’ll Do

• Operate machines and robots to load, sort, and pack our pasture‑raised eggs.
• Keep sanitary conditions for optimal food production.
• Ensure our eggs meet the standards by carefully following our procedures and performing quality checks.
• Inspect supplies and equipment to confirm they are ready for use.
• Operate powered jacks to move supplies and product within the warehouse.
• Perform other duties as needed. Things come up, but you’re flexible and always find a way to make things work.

What You Bring To The Table

• Must be able to speak, read and write in English for safety and food quality reasons.
• 1 year of work experience in an industrial or similarly structured, physically active operations environment.
• Relevant backgrounds may include manufacturing, production, food processing, warehousing or distribution, agriculture, automotive, construction, skilled trades, military operations, or comparable work.
• Demonstrated experience following safety procedures, meeting quality standards, working as part of a team, and performing repetitive physical tasks in equipment‑driven or operational settings
• You’re able to frequently lift and/or move up to 60lbs.
• You’re committed to following all personal safety requirements rigorously.
• Be flexible and complete other duties and production tasks as required.
• Basic math skills, including addition, subtraction, and division.
• Follow all Vital Farms policies, procedures, and Good Manufacturing Practices.
