Stokes County Government is seeking a clerical assistant for WIC/Nutrition services. You will handle patient check-in/check-out, scheduling, phone inquiries, and clerical duties related to the program.
Responsibilities include weighing patients, collecting hemoglobin specimens, issuing eWIC cards, and ensuring compliance with Federal regulations. You will also generate reports and monitor participating vendors as assigned.
Work will include WIC/Nutrition patient check-in/checkout, scheduling appointments, answering telephones, specific program clerical duties including weighing/measuring patients, collecting hemoglobin specimen, income screening for patient program eligibility, determine some limited nutrition needs, issue food instruments (eWIC Cards), follow/interpret Federal regulations and guidelines regarding the program, perform various reports required by the program, monitor participating vendors, etc. and other duties as assigned.
High school diploma or equivalent, plus 2 years clerical experience or a combination of both.
