Job summary

Northern Kentucky University is seeking a Processing Archivist for Special Collections and University Archives. You will accession, arrange, describe, preserve, and provide access to university archival materials, both physical and digital, while supporting reference, instruction, and digital initiatives.

You will supervise 1–3 student employees, train staff in processing standards, and help advance the RIM program through records transfer and outreach to departments.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Library and Information Science or closely related field.
• Five years of professional experience in archives, special collections, or records management.
• Experience processing archival collections using current standards (DACS, EAD).

Responsibilities

• Arrange and describe archival collections following archival standards (DACS).
• Create, edit, and maintain finding aids in ArchivesSpace.
