The Robert Rauschenberg Foundation seeks a dedicated Processing Archivist to survey, arrange, describe and digitize the Change, Inc. records, supporting accessible archival materials for scholars and artists.

You will work under the Assistant Archivist and Director of Archives in a fully in-person role based in Mount Vernon, NY. Beginning January 2027, this position advances a major digitization initiative, with a focus on creating accessible finding aids and compliant metadata for archival

Qualifikationen

• ALA-accredited Master’s in Library or Information Science with an Archives concentration.
• 3+ years of experience processing and describing archival collections.
• Familiarity with archival metadata schemas such as DACS, Dublin Core, and EAD.
• Understanding of privacy regulations (FERPA, HIPAA) and project restrictions.
• Clear written and verbal communication with high accuracy.

Aufgaben

• Surveys the collection and drafts processing plan.
• Assists in arrangement and description of archival and manuscript collections.
• Performs basic rehousing and preservation of archival records.
• Creates DACS-compliant finding aids for ArchivesSpace.
• Digitizes archival materials following policies and metadata standards.
