Job summary

River Parishes Community College invites applications for a Process Technology Instructor. This 9-month, full-time position may teach face-to-face/online across Gonzales, Reserve, Plaquemine, and St.

Charles campuses, depending on need and institutional demand. The instructor will develop, deliver and revise Process Technology courses, advise students, participate in committees, and collaborate with industry partners to strengthen the program.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in process technology (official transcripts must be submitted) or ten years field experience in process technology.
• Current knowledge of industrial safety practices.
• Satisfactory background check – an offer of employment is contingent on a satisfactory pre-employment background check.
• Previous teaching experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop,deliver, revise, and teach Process Technology courses.
• Meet College deadlines for attendance taking, gradesubmission, learning outcomes assessment reporting, and textbook adoptions.
• Serve on campus committees.
• Advise students.
• Assist with student recruitment efforts.
• Maintain a safe and orderly lab environment.
• Maintain lab equipment and inventory.
• Collaborate with business & industry partners to improve the Process Technology program.
• Consult with other College faculty and staff on issues relevant to student success.
• Monitorand documentstudent performance.
• Demonstrate a strong commitment to the River Parishes Community College Mission
