Job summary

Newell Brands in Ohio seeks a Process Technician 1 to start, operate, and adjust manufacturing machinery with safety and quality in mind. You will monitor equipment, perform preventive maintenance, and document daily activities.

You should bring basic mechanical experience, familiarity with reading blueprints, and the ability to work independently or in a team within a fast-paced plant environment.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Maintenance Technician or similar role.
• Forklift, cranes and other industrial vehicles experience preferred.
• 2+ years of mechanical or technical experience preferred.
• Able to use hand tools ranging from common hand and power tools to fabrication tools.
• Strong communication skills, including reading, writing, and speaking basic English.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and record machine statuses and daily maintenance projects.
• Diagnose faults and correct them by checking blueprints or manuals.
• Calibrate or adjust machinery to ensure quality production.
• Test, troubleshoot and adjust manufacturing equipment.
• Keep work area clean and organized.
• Follow management direction on other tasks.
