Job summary

Plastipak Packaging, Inc. seeks a Process Technician to operate extrusion and blow-molding equipment and ensure high-quality plastic containers for leading brands. The role emphasizes a clean, climate-controlled plant and adherence to safety standards.

You will monitor and adjust process variables, troubleshoot equipment, and perform preventive maintenance while ensuring products meet weight and dimensional specifications.

Qualifications

• Must have high school diploma or GED.
• Certification or secondary education in industrial, electrical, robotic, mechanical, or automotive technology.
• Combination of experience and education showing mechanical aptitude is acceptable.

Responsibilities

• Operate extrusion and blow-molding equipment in a climate-controlled environment.
• Monitor equipment and adjust settings to produce high-quality rigid plastic containers.
• Troubleshoot equipment and perform routine preventative maintenance.

You Will

• Operate a variety of top-of-the-line extrusion & blow-molding manufacturing equipment in a clean, safe & climate-controlled environment
• Monitor equipment, making adjustments to settings (heat control, water cooling temperatures, hydraulic pressure, etc.) to produce high-quality rigid plastic containers
• Troubleshoot equipment & perform routine preventative maintenance
• Assure Plastipak customer requirements are met by performing quality checks for specifications, such as bottle weights & dimensions

You Have

• High School Diploma, GED or equivalent.
• One (1) year of work experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Certification or Secondary Education in Industrial, Electrical, Robotic, Mechanical, or Automotive Technology.
• Or, a combination of relevant work experience and education that demonstrates basic mechanical aptitude and an ability to perform the essential functions and duties of the position.
