Job summary

Westlake Pipe & Fittings is seeking a hands-on Process Technician/Die Setter to support mold sampling, documentation, and production activities on the shop floor in Shelby Township, MI. You will collaborate with the Shift Supervisor and other technicians to maintain quality, safety, and efficiency in daily operations.

You will assist die setters and material handlers, ensure processes are followed, and document changes and repairs as needed while potentially stepping in as interim supervisor

Qualifications

• Experience operating or supporting molding/die-setting processes.
• Ability to follow standard operating procedures and safety rules.
• Attention to quality and capability to document process changes.

Responsibilities

• Assist with new mold samples and documentation of processing parameters.
• Meet with supervisors and technicians to discuss shop floor issues.
• Ensure part quality meets criteria and packaging standards.
• Assist die setters and material handlers to ensure safe, timely set-ups.
• Perform die setter responsibilities and support mold/mechanical maintenance as directed.
• Follow departmental procedures for setup, operation, and shutdown of jobs.
• Document process changes and repairs on work orders as needed.
• Act as an interim supervisor when required.
