Job summary

Thorlabs in Jessup, MD seeks a Process Technician II to fabricate semiconductor and other materials in a cleanroom, operating equipment and performing routine tasks with judgment. Location is Jessup, with possible duties at other ThorLabs sites, in a fast-moving manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities include reading instructions, moving materials, collecting process data, and ensuring product quality while adhering to safety protocols and PPE requirements.

Qualifications

• Must work with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel).
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Demonstrated ability to work with minimal supervision in a collaborative environment and comply with high quality standards.
• Must work well in problem solving situations, demonstrate accuracy and thoroughness, complete tasks correctly and on time.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to shift between tasks as production priorities change.
• Manual dexterity to handle small, fragile objects with precision.

Responsibilities

• Read and follow work instructions.
• Move product and materials through process steps efficiently.
• Collect and record process data and variation.
• Maintain a clean, organized work area.
• Work safely with hazardous energies and materials.
• Operate and monitor processing tools and equipment.
