Process Technician II
Location: Fremont, California, United States
Compensation: USD 31.63 – 47.50 per hour
Responsibilities
- Perform and support the operation of processes to manufacture Lyten 3D Graphene materials.
- Apply coatings, including mixing, spraying, curing, and inspection throughout the process.
- Perform routine maintenance inspections of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems to ensure efficient and safe operation.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot machinery and equipment, identify root causes, and implement effective solutions.
- Respond promptly to breakdowns or malfunctions to minimize downtime.
- Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repair activities.
- Ensure all maintenance activities comply with safety protocols and regulations.
- Manage tools and equipment, keeping work areas clean and organized.
- Stay updated on best practices, tools, and technologies related to maintenance and repair.
- Collaborate closely with the operations team to schedule maintenance while minimizing disruption.
- Recommend improvements to extend equipment life and enhance efficiency.
- Coordinate with external contractors and service providers when necessary, ensuring quality work at reasonable cost.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree (unrelated field) OR
- Associate degree (unrelated field) AND 1+ year of relevant experience in fast‑growth manufacturing or machining environments, control systems, or a related area OR
- Military service and 1+ year of relevant experience in fast‑growth manufacturing or machining environments, data entry, purchasing, with control systems, or a related area OR
- High School Diploma or equivalent AND 2+ years of relevant experience in fast‑growth manufacturing or machining environments, data entry, purchasing, with control systems, or a related area OR
- Equivalent experience
Preferred Qualifications
- Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
- Experience in a manufacturing or painting operation.
- Ability to read and understand technical manuals and blueprints.
- Excellent problem‑solving skills.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Team player able to work with minimal supervision.
- Basic computer skills for documentation and communication.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to work in a laboratory environment.
- Ability to wear personal protective equipment (gloves, lab coat, safety glasses, respirator as required).
- Ability to stand for extended periods during laboratory experiments and battery assembly.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
Compensation
The expected base salary range for this position is USD 31.63 – 47.50 per hour. Pay will depend on factors such as location, experience, education, and specific skills.
