The Process Technician supports safe, efficient, and consistent production by operating, troubleshooting, adjusting, and maintaining assigned manufacturing equipment. This role ensures equipment operates within established standards to achieve quality, productivity, and customer requirements. Team members are expected to help maintain a high-quality work environment by supporting Food Safety and Quality Management Systems, following company policies and procedures, maintaining Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), working collaboratively across departments, and delivering excellent internal and external customer service aligned with company values.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Operate, monitor, and take ownership of assigned production machines to ensure optimal performance, productivity, and product quality. Perform machine setups, changeovers, and process adjustments according to established procedures. Make process adjustments and minor repairs to maintain efficient production and minimize downtime. Troubleshoot equipment and process issues to identify root causes and implement corrective actions. Distinguish between mechanical and process-related issues and determine the appropriate response. Safely start up, operate, and shut down production, process, auxiliary, and support equipment. Inspect machinery and equipment to identify operational concerns. Monitor machine efficiency and production performance throughout the shift. Perform routine product inspections using rulers, calipers, micrometers, and other measuring devices. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area. Adjust machine components and controls using hand tools and other equipment. Assist with equipment improvements, modifications, and installation projects. Complete required production, maintenance, and quality documentation accurately and on time. Work closely with Maintenance, Engineering, Operations, and Quality teams. Support Food Safety, GMP, SQF, and company quality standards. Participate in continuous improvement activities focused on safety, quality, and productivity. Partner with Quality to ensure products meet customer specifications and company standards. Understand and participate in the Non-Conformance Report (NCR) process when required. Monitor and document critical process parameters and complete required quality inspections. Follow all company policies, procedures, and safety requirements. Perform other duties as assigned.

High school diploma or GED required. Two (2) to three (3) years of manufacturing, machine operation, or technical experience preferred. Plastics manufacturing experience preferred.
Strong mechanical aptitude. Basic knowledge of electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems. Ability to troubleshoot manufacturing equipment and processes. Ability to identify problems, determine root causes, and implement solutions. Ability to read and interpret work instructions, diagrams, schedules, and technical documentation. Basic mathematical skills including: Addition Subtraction Multiplication Division Fractions Percentages Ratios Unit conversions Ability to complete reports and production documentation accurately. Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office, email, and production software. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Effective communication skills with employees across all departments.
