Job summary

AFL manufactures industry-leading fiber optic cable, connectivity and accessories and provides engineering and installation services for major telecom customers. The Process Technician I role focuses on supporting, maintaining, and improving production lines, establishing setup parameters, training operators, and implementing process improvements.

The position involves hands-on engineering support for new product industrialization, working with customers and suppliers, and adhering to AFL's EHS

Qualifications

• Manufacturing experience (1–5 years) as a production operator/team leader or maintenance/process technician is a plus.
• Strong analytical, math, mechanical, and written and communication skills.
• Basic understanding of EHS management systems and ISO 9001 quality systems.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily process and quality support for assigned production lines to include investigation of issues and corrective/preventative actions.
• Design, modify and maintain tooling, fixtures and equipment to improve safety, quality, throughput, and productivity.
• Administer and maintain process setup documentation to ensure products meet design requirements.
