Job summary

AFL manufactures industry-leading fiber optic cable, connectivity and accessories and provides engineering and installation services for telecom customers. The Certified Technician role operates on a seven day, 24-hour schedule at the Duncan facility, requiring nights and weekends and a team-oriented environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or 1+ years of manufacturing experience.
• Ability to read and follow work instructions and perform basic math.
• Strong written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to environmental, health & safety policies.
• Maintain acceptable attendance per AFL policies.
• Adhere to production schedule, minimize changeover times, meet goals.
• Produce products meeting specifications.
• Enter production and quality data into computer.
• Achieve and maintain process certifications.
• Keep work area and equipment clean and orderly.
• Assist other operators with setup and operation.
• Document and report quality issues.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
