Seaboard Energy is seeking a Process Technician I to oversee safe operation of plant process equipment in a biodiesel production setting. You will follow run sheets, monitor equipment, document conditions, and assist in maintaining HS&E goals.
The role requires a high school diploma or GED, and 1+ year experience in a chemical or petrochemical environment. English literacy and clear communication with management are essential for daily reporting.
The Process Technician I is responsible for the safe and proper operation of all plant process equipment. They provide leadership for the plant in all aspects of plant operation. They are to produce budgeted amounts of product in a safe, efficient, and cost-effective manner in compliance with environmental laws.
The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Must be able to move from place to place to all areas of production. Must be able to climb ladders or platforms. Must be able to wear all safety and production related equipment.
Work environment varies from an office, Plant production and outside climate conditions, based on the situation. Noise level varies upon which area of production employee is working in.
This is a scheduled rotating shift working 7 days on/7 days off then 7 nights on/7 nights off. Shifts are 12 hours (6am to 6pm – day shift and 6pm to 6am night shift). Occasionally, overtime or changes in schedule will be required as special circumstances arise.
