Job summary

Polar Semiconductor is seeking a process technician for the Bloomington, MN area. The role supports sustaining current processes to improve line, parametric, and die yields and to monitor product and test wafer data for quality.

You will optimize equipment availability by responding to events and working with cross-functional teams. The position requires an associate degree or equivalent experience, knowledge of semiconductor processes, and the ability to perform SPC duties and technical

Qualifications

  • Associate’s degree in a technical field or directly applicable experience.
  • Knowledge of semiconductor processing techniques.
  • Experience and certification for wafer processing tool sets.
  • Experience with SPC and technical writing.
  • Proficiency with MS Outlook and Excel.
  • Ability to perform calculations with fractions and percentages and interface with people.
  • Strong problem solving and organizational skills.

D Shift - Thursday, Friday, Saturday and every other Wednesday 6pm - 6am

JOB SUMMARY

Sustain current processes to achieve greater line, parametric, and die yields. Monitor process trends to ensure compliance with necessary parameters. Monitor product and test wafer data to maintain process quality and make process adjustments as necessary. Optimize equipment availability by responding to qualification, inline measurement, and FabGuard events.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Respond to lot holds and disposition as required. Assist Process Engineering lead engineers with capacity, tool qualification, process improvement, and other projects. Maintain documentation and statistical process control charts. Work as a team player with Process Engineering, Equipment Engineering, Maintenance, and Production.

REQUIREMENTS

Associate’s Degree in a technical field preferred. If no Associate’s degree some directly applicable experience in a related functional area. Experience as a specialist is preferred.

Compensation: $23.00 – $36.00 per hour, plus applicable shift differentials (good faith estimate) *This position may require U.S. Citizenship or Permanent Residency status in the future depending on federal requirements.
