Job description

The Role -

Amphenol Aerospace is seeking a Process Technician to work out its state-of-the-art facility in Sidney, NY.

The Process Technician supports all products produced in the machining departments. This includes setup, start-up, operation and troubleshooting of conventional and CNC machines and post-machining operations..

The key responsibilities of the Process Technician include, but are not limited to:

  • Daily Manufacturing floor support
  • Creation of programs for new products
  • Maintain DNC with proven, best practice programs.
  • Provide training for Operators to run good quality parts.
  • Support initiatives and training for corrective actions
  • Quality and technical support to internal and external customers
  • Continuous improvement and cost reduction activities
  • Process troubleshooting to ensure quality product is machined.
  • Complete initial set up of jobs on varying machines.

Location -

  • Sidney, NY
    • 30 Minute Drive from Binghamton, NY
    • 20 Minute Drive from Oneonta, NY

Salary: $50,000 - $75,000

The Person -

The key skills and qualities of a Process Technician at Amphenol Aerospace:

  • Technical or associate degree is a plus
  • 6+ years of experience in machining.
  • Must have knowledge of Programming CNC machines and some Conventional experience.
  • Proficient with the setup and operation of conventional as well as CNC machines to produce aluminum and steel parts.
  • Familiar with technical drawings and precision measurement devices.
  • Knowledge of MS Office programs.
  • Must be able to multitask and work with minimal supervision and lead teams.
  • Participate in projects for all aspects of the connector business.
  • Confidentiality.
  • Excellent oral and written skills.
  • Must be able to sit, stand or walk for prolonged periods of time.
  • Use of a computer from 1 to 8 hours a day.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 20 pounds.
  • Possible travel domestic or overseas.
