Responsibilities

  • Perform preventive maintenance activities and run trial tests for optimal performance.
  • Complete tool changes and repairs per HECP and LOTO procedures.
  • Conduct quality inspections, including burst testing, salinity checks, and weight verification.
  • Collaborate with maintenance and vendors to secure supplies and manage work orders.
  • Maintain organized tooling inventory and properly label equipment locations.
  • Aim to achieve production targets set by Shift Supervisor and Plant leadership.
  • Provide direction to Inspectors/Packers to maximize labor efficiency and control costs.

Compensation: $21.66 per hour + shift differential

Shift: 2nd shift

Position Summary

Reporting directly to the Production Manager, the Process Technician plays a key role in ensuring the efficient, high-quality, and timely production and shipment of ThermoSafe products. This position is responsible for operating equipment across multiple production lines and requires the versatility to learn, adapt, and succeed in various departments. The ideal candidate is dependable, detail-oriented, and committed to maintaining excellent attendance, which is essential to supporting team performance and achieving operational goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor production processes, workflow, and material movement to ensure quality standards and customer specifications are consistently achieved.
  • Accurately track and report production metrics while communicating production status and updates as required.
  • Perform preventive maintenance activities, including equipment testing and trial runs, to support optimal production performance.
  • Complete tool changes and repairs as needed, ensuring full compliance with all HECP and LOTO procedures.
  • Conduct and/or coordinate quality inspections, including burst testing, salinity checks, and weight verification.
  • Collaborate with maintenance personnel and vendors to secure necessary supplies and manage work order requirements.
  • Maintain an organized tooling inventory, ensuring all equipment is stored in clearly labeled and designated locations.
  • Achieve production targets established by the Shift Supervisor, Production Manager, and plant leadership team.
  • Provide direction to Inspector/Packers to maximize labor efficiency, support productivity, and help control operating costs.
Qualifications

Preferred
  • Previous experience in a manufacturing, production, or industrial environment.
  • Experience operating, troubleshooting, and performing basic maintenance on production equipment.
  • Knowledge of quality control processes, inspections, testing procedures, and production reporting.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work effectively across multiple production areas.
  • Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing principles, including 5S methodology, continuous improvement practices, and workplace organization initiatives.
Physical & Work Environment Requirements

This position requires regular standing and walking throughout the workday and involves repetitious duties in a manufacturing environment. Employees frequently use their hands and arms to perform job duties and may occasionally stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, speak, and hear. The role requires the ability to lift, carry, and move materials weighing up to 50 pounds as needed.

Work is performed in a manufacturing environment that is not temperature-controlled. Employees may be exposed to varying indoor temperatures and seasonal conditions typical of an industrial production setting. The work environment may also involve exposure to moving mechanical equipment, chemicals, fumes, airborne particles, and elevated noise levels. The use of personal protective equipment (PPE), including respiratory and hearing protection, may be required based on job assignments and work area conditions.
