Job summary

Corning seeks a Production and Maintenance – Process Technician (Application Process) to support pilot production, R&D labs, and shop environments. You will set up and operate equipment, perform maintenance, and collaborate with supervisors, scientists, engineers, and fellow technicians.

The role requires 18+ years of age, a 2-year AAS technical degree, and the ability to lift 50 pounds. Immigration sponsorship is not offered; starting pay is set under the applicable collective agreement with

Responsibilities

• Set up, assemble, maintain, monitor, and operate equipment in pilot production, research and development labs, department labs, and shops.
• Work collaboratively with supervisors, scientists, engineers, and other technicians.
• Perform a variety of tasks that may require working shifts, holidays, and weekend assignments.

Requirements

• At least 18 years of age.
• Ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds.
• Must have a 2‑year (AAS) technical degree from an accredited institution.
• Not eligible for immigration sponsorship.

Work Conditions

Work hours vary and may be adjusted to meet the company’s needs. Employment may be subject to economic cycle reductions based on a valley‑wide seniority system.

Compensation and Benefits

Starting pay is $35.35 hourly. Compensation and benefits are governed by the applicable Collective Bargaining Agreement, including a 401(k) plan with company match, a fully company‑paid pension, bonus and short‑/long‑term incentive programs, and comprehensive health, dental, vision, and wellness benefits.

A 90‑day probationary period applies. Production and Maintenance employees are represented by USW Local 1000. No relocation assistance is provided.
