Job summary

Plastipak is seeking a Process Technician to operate and maintain plastic injection blow molders and extrusion machines, ensuring our products meet quality standards and customer expectations.

Shifts available: 1st 7am-3pm ($20.00/hr) and 2nd 3pm-11pm ($22.50/hr). Direct Hire with benefits starting on day 61, plus comprehensive plans and a 401k. Growth and training are emphasized to support career development.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of experience operating manufacturing equipment in a high-volume production environment.
• Mechanical inclination and ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Knowledge of extrusion or blow molding machines is a plus.
• Basic understanding of hydraulics, pneumatics, and electromechanical systems is a plus.
• Strong problem-solving and mechanical troubleshooting skills.

Responsibilities

Job description

As a Process Technicians you are responsible for operating and maintaining plastic injection blow molders and extrusion machines, ensuring our products meet all quality standards and customer expectations.

Shifts:

• 1st: 7am-3pm ($20.00/hr)
• 2nd: 3pm-11pm ($22.50/hr)

You Will

• Operating extrusion and blow-molding manufacturing production machines and equipment.
• Monitoring and adjusting production machine settings (heat control, water cooling temperatures, hydraulic pressure) to keep production running smoothly.
• Troubleshooting machines and doing basic maintenance.
• Checking product quality to assure it meets customer specifications (e.g., bottle weights, dimensions).
• Teaming up with your co-workers to identify continuous improvement opportunities.
• Learning new skills with hands‑on training and career development opportunities.

You Have

• Mechanical inclination - you like to fix things, use tools, work with your hands.
• At least 1 year of experience operating manufacturing equipment in a high-volume production environment.
• Knowledge of extrusion or blow molding machines and equipment is a plus!
• Basic understanding of hydraulics, pneumatics, and electromechanical systems is a plus!
• Strong problem-solving and mechanical troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. with or without a reasonable accommodation.
