Job summary

Coeur Rochester seeks a Process Operator to ensure safe and efficient operation of processing circuits including carbon-in-leach, resin-in-leach, elution, autoclaves, roasters, thickeners and related workflows. The role requires manual labor support, routine inspections, and precise data recording.

You will operate within designated parameters, monitor sampling at intervals, and follow LOTO and troubleshooting procedures. A rotating night/day schedule and team collaboration are essential.

Qualifications

  • Experience in processing facilities preferred.
  • Entry level considered based on experience.
  • Ability to work in hot or cold conditions.
  • Prioritization with minimal supervision.
  • Proven safety and attendance record.
  • 3–5 years in processing environment preferred.
  • Experience with high temperature systems preferred.

About The Job

The Process Operator will ensure safe and efficient operation of various processing circuits/equipment including but not limited to: carbon-in-leach, resin-in-leach, elution (carbon/resin), autoclaves, roasters, thickeners, retort/induction furnaces, solution balance, sample collection, data recording, retrieval of sample data.

Responsibilities
  • Perform manual labor in support of general plant clean-up and assist other process operators.
  • Perform all pre-shift, pre-op and workplace inspections as required.
  • Communicate all pertinent information during shift relief.
  • Follow good housekeeping practices
  • Only operate equipment or systems for which training has been provided.
  • Comply with state and federal health and safety regulations.
  • Conduct routine equipment inspections to identify conditions or defects that may impact employee safety, environmental compliance, property damage or reliability of equipment and take necessary steps to mitigate defects. (Make basic repairs if employee has training, skill, and knowledge or generate work request in work management system.)
  • Conduct detailed equipment inspections as assigned, document deficiencies and generate work requests. (Safety equipment and plant equipment)
  • Maintain circuit operating parameters within designated limits
  • Ensure all sampling is conducted at designated intervals, accurately processed, and results documented as defined by procedure
  • Operate assigned circuit(s) within specified standards to ensure federal/state/local/site requirements/regulations
  • Understand process flows and equipment fundamentals to properly execute LOTO, & trouble shooting actions as required
  • Work with team members to effectively and efficiently complete tasks
  • Perform other duties as required
Required Qualifications & Skills
  • Prior experience in mining preferred.
  • Will hire entry level based on experience.
  • Ability to perform the essential functions of this position, including working in hot or cold weather conditions required
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize and work with minimum supervision required
  • Proven safety and attendance record required
  • Minimum of three (3) to five (5) years’ experience working in a processing facility preferred
  • Knowledge of high pressure/high temperature systems preferred
  • Direct experience working in the Process or Mining environment preferred
  • Experience in handling chemicals and reagents preferred
  • Experience in other phases of gold ore processing preferred

The ability to work a rotating schedule of nights and days is an essential function of this role.

Additional Information
  • Hourly Rate Range: $28.01 - 45.34 (DOE)
  • Rotating Shifts: 5 On, 4 Off / 4 on, 5 off
  • Quarterly bonus up to $4,100 (up to $16,400 annually)

  • 6% dollar-for-dollar employer match to 401k or Roth, immediate vesting
