Job summary

Doherty Staffing Solutions is hiring a Process Technician for a plastics manufacturer in Grand Rapids, MN. In this role, you'll support extrusion production processes, start up and changeover lines, and help ensure high quality products and efficient operations.

You will work a day shift, Monday through Friday, with weekly pay and a temp-to-hire path where applicable. The ideal candidate has at least one year of manufacturing experience and strong troubleshooting and safety mindset.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of related manufacturing or production experience.
• Ability to perform basic math functions (add/subtract/multiply/divide) and percentages.
• Ability to read, interpret, and communicate customer and industry documentation.
• Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and time management skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced team environment.
• Commitment to following safety procedures and wearing PPE.
• Ability to pass a criminal background check and verify authorization to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Start up, shut down, and perform changeovers on extrusion lines
• Monitor and optimize extrusion line performance to maintain peak efficiency
• Troubleshoot manufacturing processes, equipment, and production issues
• Ensure plastic sheets and rolls meet customer specifications and company quality standards
• Train and support team members on production processes and procedures
• Maintain accurate production records, including employee time allocation to manufacturing orders
• Follow quality, safety, and housekeeping requirements while supporting continuous improvement efforts
