Job summary

TI Automotive is seeking a Process Technician to oversee injection molding processes, including setup, troubleshooting, and maintenance. You will collaborate with production, R&D, and QA to ensure molded components meet specs and schedules.

You’ll also work with vendors on tooling, manage materials for traceability, and generate molding run documentation. The role requires hands-on experience in automotive manufacturing, strong problem-solving skills, and proactive initiative.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years in injection molding and automotive manufacturing.
• Must be able to operate a forklift.
• Experience with mold validations or troubleshooting is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for all aspects of the injection molding or blow molding process including set-up, tear down, troubleshooting, equipment maintenance and workflow.
• Work with production personnel and R&D to ensure molded components meet requirements, adjusting as required.
• Provide molded components in a timely manner to ensure production and R&D schedules are met.
• Collaborate with outside vendors to develop tooling and fixtures for high-quality products.
• Manage raw molding materials to ensure traceability and prevent contamination.
• Generate documentation on molding runs for traceability and reproducibility.
• Collaborate with R&D, Marketing, Quality, and Manufacturing during concept, prototyping, and release of new products.
• Follow procedures to maintain a clean and organized environment.
• Draft and perform mold validations.

A Process Technician is a skilled professional who plays a vital role in ensuring the efficient and safe operation of manufacturing processes. They are responsible for monitoring, operating, and maintaining equipment, as well as troubleshooting and making adjustments to ensure optimal production.

Key Responsibilities

• Responsible for all aspects of the injection molding or blow molding process including, but not limited to, set-up and tear down, troubleshooting, equipment maintenance and workflow.
• Working with production personnel and R&D to ensure molded components meet requirements, adjusting as required.
• Providing molded components in a timely manner to ensure production and R&D schedules are met.
• Working with outside vendors to develop tooling and fixtures that result in the manufacturing of high-quality products.
• Managing raw molding materials in a way that ensures traceability and prevents contamination.
• Generating documentation on molding runs that can be used to control traceability and ensure reproducibility.
• Working with R&D, Marketing, Quality, and Manufacturing Departments during concept, prototyping, and release of new products.
• Following established procedures to maintain a clean and organized environment.
• Drafting and performing mold validations.

Job Qualifications

• Experience: Minimum 3 years injection molding / Minimum 3 years automotive manufacturing. Must be able to operate a forklift for material needs.
• Education: High School Graduate or GED
• Organizational Skills: Good Organizational, verbal and written communication and cooperation skills.
• Skills Required: Candidate must be proactive and show initiative in taking on and completing injection molding projects
