Responsibilities

• Learn and troubleshoot manufacturing processes, quality standards, equipment, safety and procedures to support production areas.
• Work independently to meet production schedules and quality targets, reporting issues to supervision.
• Verify equipment setup and operate/shutdown production machinery.
• Ensure correct materials and specs meet quality tolerance within productivity targets.
• Operate equipment such as Pre-Expander, Shape Press, and Lost Foam Press, and set up as needed.
• Analyze parts, determine adjustments after inspections, and monitor metrics with supervision as needed.
• Report plant metrics and assist maintenance; maintain logs and a clean work area.
• Cross-train on multiple equipment; support a best-in-class safety culture.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and career development paths.

Job description

Atlas Molded Products is seeking a 1st and 2nd Shift Process Technician for the Fond du Lac, WI facility with an hourly pay range starting at $25 or more an hour.

Process Technician Primary Responsibilities

• Must be able to learn and understand the manufacturing processes, quality standards, equipment operations, safety requirements, and departmental procedures necessary to troubleshoot assigned production areas.
• Must be able to work independently to ensure production schedule and quality standards are met and report issues to supervisor.
• Verify equipment set-up prior to start of a production run, operates and shuts down manufacturing equipment.
• Verify order information and produce part(s) with the correct material, density, weight, size, and/or shape within quality tolerance to meet specific job requirements while meeting productivity standards.
• Operate equipment such as, but not limited to, the Pre-Expander, Shape Press, Lost Foam Press, etc., as well as the duties of setting up equipment.
• Analyze parts and determine adjustments after visual and physical inspection.
• May perform various functions in PeopleSoft including printing job travelers, and reporting quantities.
• May be required to report plant metrics such as LF/HR, Blocks/HR, and scrap rates.
• Monitor equipment and report malfunctions to supervisor; enter work orders, and assist maintenance personnel with routine equipment cleaning.
• Maintain proper setting change logs and complete required reports as necessary.
• Bundle, wrap, stack, pack, assemble and/or label material per specific production instructions.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Employee will be crossed trained on several pieces of equipment.
• Must help drive the culture for Best in Class Safety.
• Perform any other functions and responsibilities as assigned.
• Must be trained and familiar with general safety.
• Must be trained and familiar with Quality System Awareness.
• Regular, reliable, and predictable attendance is required.

Process Technician Experience

Prior experience in a manufacturing / industrial environment required.

May be required to possess a valid driver’s license, satisfactory driving record report and insurance coverage appropriate to enable legal and safe driving of vehicle(s) for company-related business

Process Technician Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

Demonstrated experience in a leadership role, whether in a professional or volunteer setting.

A genuine people-focused approach.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills, coupled with strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.

Proven ability to motivate and guide a team.

Process Technician Education, Licenses & Certifications
