Qualifications

• 3-5 years of hands-on experience setting, starting, and sampling injection molds.
• Strong working knowledge of injection molding processes, tooling, molds, and polymer materials.
• Experience troubleshooting injection molding equipment and associated manufacturing processes.
• Forklift operation certification.
• Overhead crane certification.
• Working knowledge of manufacturing support functions, including quality and supply chain.
• Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced production environment and make timely decisions when complete information may not be available.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Perform injection mold set-ups, machine start-ups, shutdowns, sampling, and related production changeover activities.
• Monitor molding equipment and processes to promote optimal machine performance, product quality, material utilization, and production efficiency.
• Troubleshoot injection molding equipment, tooling, materials, and supporting production systems to address operational or quality issues.
• Coordinate day-to-day people and equipment resources within the injection molding operation to support schedule attainment, yield, and on-time production.
• Support the implementation of Lean Manufacturing practices and identify opportunities to improve safety, quality, efficiency, and process consistency.
• Assist with the training, coaching, and development of employees to support safe work practices, production standards, and operational expectations.
• Monitor molded-product quality and make appropriate process adjustments to maintain established specifications.
• Work closely with manufacturing, quality, supply chain, and other supporting functions to resolve production issues and maintain workflow.

Injection Molding Technician / Set-Up

Location: Baraboo, WI

Shift: Day Shift – Monday – Thursday | 6:00 AM – 4:00 PM

Hourly Pay Range and Other Compensation

• The hourly rate for this position is expected to be between $30.00 – $35.00 per hour, depending on geographic location, experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

Employment Type: Full-Time | Direct Hire

About The Role

Eastridge Workforce Solutions is seeking an experienced Injection Molding Technician / Set-Up professional for an established manufacturing organization in the Baraboo, Wisconsin area. This position plays a key role in supporting daily injection molding operations, including mold changes, machine start-up and shutdown, process performance, quality, safety, and continuous improvement.

The ideal candidate brings strong hands-on injection molding experience along with the ability to troubleshoot equipment and processes, coordinate production resources, support employee training, and help maintain consistent quality and productivity in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
