Job summary

FXI, a leading foam innovations company, seeks a process manufacturing engineer for our Santa Teresa facility to optimize foam fabrication and workflow. You will design processes, collect data, and collaborate with NPI teams on new products.

Requires ABET-accredited engineering degree, strong communication and teamwork, Lean knowledge preferred, and bilingual English/Spanish beneficial. Proficiency in Excel, Power BI, and Minitab is a plus; join a safety-focused site.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree from an ABET-accredited university in engineering or related sub-field.
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work independently and in a team.
Proficiency with computer and information technology.
Specialized industry-specific training preferred.
Thorough understanding of scientific and mathematical principles.
Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.

Responsibilities

Research, design, and optimize foam fabrication processes to improve productivity.
Collaborate with NPI engineers for new processes and products.
Design and evaluate equipment and material flow within manufacturing.
Work with Operations to assess procedures and implement improvements.
Collect data (time studies, scrap, downtime) and develop standardized work instructions.
Troubleshoot process issues and implement corrective actions.
Support integration of new/existing processes and best practices (OEE, Scrap, MUV, CI goals).
Maintain repair and maintenance procedures for equipment.
Train floor leads on SOPs and SWIs with supervision and HR.
Ensure process audits are conducted and SQDC standards maintained.
