Job summary

Amgen seeks an Engineer 1 to join the drug product team for final stages, focusing on reliability, risk reduction, and process optimization. You will support investigations, data analysis, equipment troubleshooting, and the design, startup, and validation of processing equipment in a regulated environment.

The role requires strong problem-solving, collaboration, and the ability to work across cross-functional teams while maintaining safety and compliance; weekend shifts may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s, Master’s, Associate or high school with engineering experience as per basic qualifications.
• Experience in regulated environments (FDA/cGMP/OSHA/EPA) preferred.
• Strong leadership, writing and communication skills.
• Willingness to support 24/7 operations including weekends.

Responsibilities

• Support system reliability and performance risk reduction.
• Lead investigations and root cause analysis.
• Analyze data and develop engineering solutions.
• Assist with engineering runs for new products.
• Provide on-site technical support for equipment and processes.
• Ensure safety and environmental health compliance.
