Job Description

A leading global ingredients supplier has an opening for Technical Services Manager, Process Specialist. This position will be responsible for providing technical services to the Fuel Ethanol Industry with emphasis on whole process management. This will be done by way of supporting, servicing, troubleshooting, and training our employees and existing/potential customer base. Other responsibilities include but are not limited to: managing and directing new business in the region, supporting Regional Sales Managers, and participating in industry events as required. This position will report directly to the Director of Technical Services.

Job Requirements

Responsibilities:

• Understand and assess current and new technologies including analysis, recommendations and feedback as required
• Work with customers to validate and optimize LBDS products
• Assist employees and customers with process troubleshooting and plant audits
• Build and share technical reports analyzing various plant conditions and convey findings to team and customers
• Work with Regional Sales Managers as appropriate to develop and grow market share
• Participate in Fuel Ethanol Industry events and represent the company’s views and vision
• Safely and efficiently work on customer premises

Knowledge, Skills & Experience

• Education – College Degree - science, engineering, or technical/fermentation training
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in the Ethanol Industry
• Extensive knowledge of, and hands-on experience in the dry grind ethanol industry (batch or continuous)
• Previous Production Management experience is a plus
• Exceptional written/oral communication and public speaking skills
• Previous experience with SAS JMP software preferred
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and other data management formats

Professional and Personal Capabilities

• Must be able to work both independently and within a team setting
• Effectively converse in technical matters and solutions when dealing with real time process related issues
• Sales skills are a plus
• Successful candidate will be expected to complete all levels of required safety training
• Candidate should be comfortable creating and presenting information to customers
• Candidate must be of high character, professional, and familiar with the Fuel Ethanol Industry

Additional Information

• Will be travel at least 40-50% of the time within your geographically assigned territory
• Must be able to conduct educational presentations across the industry
• Possible relocation needed (assistance provided if necessary)
